The L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate, run in January each year at the Kenilworth Racecourse, is the precursor to the biggest event on Cape Town’s racing calendar, the J&B Met.This year the J&B Met takes place on Saturday, February 2.

Cape Town is famous for its spectacular sunsets. Says flowcomm: “I took this photo one evening as I was having dinner and a drink at the restaurant at the top with a friend. I don’t live in Cape Town, but visit fairly often and go up Table Mountain whenever I can. Just being at the top, and breathing in the mountain air and enjoying the beautiful views, is good for the soul.”
