Absa Cape Epic concludes at Lourensford Wine Estate

The Seadog Race – A Cape Town Tourism Photo Essay

The Sea Dog Paddle Series is a safe, fun paddle that takes place over 20 Fridays during the summer months. The race is never cancelled, always in Fish Hoek and the course is approximately 6km.

Photo by Roy Barford Colombian filmmaker, Federico Uribe Velasquez, got the surprise of his life when he purchased his ticket, as staff at the Table Mountain Cableway burst into cheers. The Cape Town media, on standby, then swamped 41-year-old Velasquez, who basked in the glory, happily posing for photographs and giving interviews.

Earth Hour on March 27, 2010

Cape Town will be celebrating Earth hour on Saturday. Photo courtesy coda Earth Hour is a World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) initiative aimed at increasing awareness of global climate change and working together to create a sustainable future for our planet.  Earth Hour began as a small WWF event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007, with 2.2-million homes and businesses switching off their lights for an hour.
