Why Rob Vember loves Cape Town
Rob Vember is a radio DJ and proud Capetonian. He grew up in Cape Town and studied in Grahamstown, where, working at the campus station, he was bitten by the radio bug. Returning to the Mother City to join the DJ line-up on Heart FM, he then made the move to Johannesburg to become part of the 5FM team, where he has been for the last few years. He recently made the move back home to continue presenting his weekday show from 5FM’s Cape Town studios. We asked him what he loves about the city. -

Khanizeni Travel & Tourz got Cape Town’s women out and about on Women’s Day, providing the entertainment for an African Women’s Network “feminar” while drawing attention to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Serious traffic jams in Cape Town are affecting everyone trying to leave the city centre on all major routes this afternoon.
According to News24.com, earlier today, two trucks overturned on the N1 under the Koeberg Interchange. The N1 was shut down and all major routes out of the city centre are heavily congested as a result.
Table Mountain Cableway introduces new ticket system

The Table Mountain Cableway is introducing a new ticketing system, effective on Monday, 17 August. The new system will allow visitors to buy tickets online for an additional R10 administration fee.
