Thousands of people queued this morning in the hopes of securing tickets for 2010 FIFA World Cup™ matches in Cape Town. Cape Town Tourism spoke to soccer fans standing in line to buy tickets, as well as to those who arrived to collect tickets that they’d already paid for.

Thousands of tickets still available for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™

The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ is slowly but surely edging closer to a having full stadiums for every match, with 2.2-million tickets sold so far. The remaining 500 000 tickets will go on sale on April 15, 2010, during the last ticket sale phase, which includes over-the-counter sales at designated FIFA ticketing centres nationwide, the organisers announced today, Friday, April 9.
