Cape Town played host to yet another sold-out show this past weekend with 30 Seconds to Mars packing the Grand West Casino on Sunday night.
Frontman Jared Leto may not have been quite as active as fellow singer John Legend, but he still managed to snap a couple of pics – and post a video - to Instagram, chronicling his time in the Mother City.
To be fair, the group didn’t spent quite as long in town as the R&B crooner, but it’s still pretty clear that the city worked its magic on Leto.
Commuters on the MyCITI rapid bus service will have more reason to jump on board with the City of Cape Town planning to offer free Wi-Fi.
According to a report on BDLive, the city is conducting a pilot project which will allow access to the Wi-Fi while travelling or waiting at various stations in and around Cape Town.
The news comes on the back of the city’s announcement on Thursday that it has entered into a partnership with Orange Wi-Fi service to provide Wi-Fi to people living in parts of Khayelitsha and Mitchell’s Plain.
R&B singer John Legend was a hit in Cape Town with three sold-out shows and it looks like the Mother City left its mark on him as well.
The legendary crooner and his wife – model Chrissy Teigen – were posting up on storm on Instagram as they captured their travels in the city this week, from yacht trips and show-time selfies, to more intimate moments on tour.

Last night the SunStar Beacon of Hope was unveiled and lit up on Signal Hill. And it looks pretty spectacular.
Designed by Christopher Swift and part of the World Design Capital initiatives, the SunStar was made with pieces of the fencing from Robben Island.
Standing 24 metres high, this outdoor art installation will stay on Signal Hill for about six months before it’s moved, possibly to one of the properties of Sun International, who funded the piece.
