Well over 100 adventure enthusiasts packed out the venue, having read the adventurers’ stories over the past weeks but having no idea what to expect next. Well, even their best guesses would have missed the mark: the evening turned into a comedy hour, with the speakers and winners brilliantly recounting some of their more amusing adventuring mishaps. -

Lunch at Live Bait in Cape Town
I don’t often experience the sensual seafood tastes of a restaurant in Cape Town, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to review the impressive menu at Live Bait in Kalk Bay on Saturday 27 April, 2013. With its spectacular views of Kalk Bay Harbour (one of its walls is actually the breakwater of the harbour) and the Atlantic Ocean, this seaside eatery is the perfect lunch spot. Patrons lucky enough to get a table at the floor-to- ceiling windows facing the ocean will spot a seal or two frolicking in the waves.
