Baboons are a hotly debated topic in the Western Cape, and particularly so with regards to their interactions with tourists who explore some of Cape Town’s natural treasures such as Cape Point.
I’m a big fan of Cape Town. I’ve had the luxury of living in a few other cities so I feel I can make a fair comparison, but every so often I need to get out of the Mother City. Recently, I picked Paternoster as my weekend destination, and before my girlfriend even had time to say “It’s the weekend!”, we were off.
Living in Cape Town, I’ve always used the V&A Waterfront as a quick shopping stop - a meal, groceries, new shirts, etc. Thus when I was recently invited to a dine-about at three of the Waterfront’s top restaurants, I leapt at the opportunity to try something a little different, and a lot more fun.
I have an obsession with doing things differently, which normally makes me really annoying to travel with, but occasionally I find something really cool, like my long weekend in the Robertson Winelands with my girlfriend.
