I don’t often experience the sensual seafood tastes of a restaurant in Cape Town, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to review the impressive menu at Live Bait in Kalk Bay on Saturday 27 April, 2013. With its spectacular views of Kalk Bay Harbour (one of its walls is actually the breakwater of the harbour) and the Atlantic Ocean, this seaside eatery is the perfect lunch spot. “Delicious” is too mundane a word to describe the 2013 Taste of Cape Town festival. So is “scrumptious”. Because this year’s event was simply DIVINE! Now in its sixth year, the Taste of Cape Town was held at the chic Green Point Cricket Club from Thursday April 11 to Sunday 14 April, 2013, with some spectacular upgrades and additions that added to its phenomenal success.
