It’s August in the passionate, powerful and inspirational Mother City and that means we are celebrating our femininity in honour of National Women’s Day on Friday 9 August 2013. Thanks to the women who marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria in 1956 to protest against the pass laws, modern-day Capetonian women, like their sisters country-wide, enjoy the right to independence and equality and where better to celebrate it than on the Fairest Cape’s streets and shores?
