As lovers celebrated Valentine’s Day in February, the city of Cape Town proudly launched the Green Point Urban Park to the public.
Situated in Green Point next to the Cape Town Stadium, which was used for the FIFA 2010 World Cup™, the multipurpose 10.5 hectare park is open seven days a week from 07h00 to 19h00.

Table Mountain turned into a snow-capped winter wonderland on Tuesday, June 15. “When we opened the Cableway this morning we noticed that there was a light dusting of snow on the pathways and viewing decks,” said Table Mountain Cableway CEO Sabine Lehmann from the summit.

The competition was launched at the start of the DLF IPL tournament and 46 contestants were chosen (one from each match). After much frenzied voting last weekend on the official IPL website, 16 contestants have been chosen to go through to the finals.

With just two weekends left before the 2010 J&B Met at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town, fashion designers and stores are getting seriously busy.
Last night, May 8, 2011, Swedish super-group Roxette kicked off the South African leg of their Charm School world tour at the GrandArena at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World. This was the first of three sold out shows to be held in Cape Town this week and marked 16 years since Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle last played in South Africa.
Summer is officially here, which heralds the arrival of the Old Mutual Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts series. The concerts, set in one of the world’s most beautiful locations – Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden – are a one-of-a-kind musical experience and one of the highlights of Cape Town’s summer season.
