Sadly, Ratanga had to fall away, but is still held close to my heart. Since early 2003, Mzoli Ngcawuzele’s business has been meat, through which he has transformed a run-of-the-mill butchery into one of the most popular experiences in Cape Town.

Mad Max 4: Fury Road to film in Cape Town

Filming of the post-apocalyptic action adventure epic Mad Max 4: Fury Road is set to take place in Cape Town later this year – according to unverified reports. The film will star South African-born Academy Award winner Charlize Theron, as well as Tom Hardy (Dark Knight Rises, Inception) and is directed by Academy Award winner George Miller (Happy Feet, Babe, Mad Max trilogy).

Gabriella Demetriades from Port Elizabeth, is a favourite to win the crown The heated search for Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa now enters its final stages, as the field of Bollywood beauties has been whittled down to 16 hopefuls. The competition was launched at the start of the DLF IPL tournament and 46 contestants were chosen (one from each match). After much frenzied voting last weekend on the official IPL website, 16 contestants have been chosen to go through to the finals.

Table Mountain turned into a snow-capped winter wonderland on Tuesday, June 15. “When we opened the Cableway this morning we noticed that there was a light dusting of snow on the pathways and viewing decks,” said Table Mountain Cableway CEO Sabine Lehmann from the summit.

Last night, May 8, 2011, Swedish super-group Roxette kicked off the South African leg of their Charm School world tour at the GrandArena at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World.
