Loerie Awards 2011: Saturday night winners
The 33rd Annual Loerie Awards Festival Weekend began on Friday 16th September 2011, following a weeklong celebration of local creative talent as part of the Creative Week Cape Town initiative. The first awards ceremony was held on Saturday evening at a new venue, the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
New hotels open in Cape Town

In the lead-up to 2010, there is a growing demand for accommodation in Cape Town. The Mother City has added 1 100 new hotel rooms in the past five years, which means a 45% growth in capacity. At least nine more new hotels will open by 2010.

The Infecting the City arts festival: a review
On Friday 15 March 2013 Cape Town Tourism’s Tourism Services team made their way down to Cape Town Station to experience the public arts festival, Infecting the City. The event is held annually in public spaces across the city centre, and is free and accessible to the public.
