Picture this ... You’re strapped into your seat, hanging under the track of a looping roller coaster that’s hurtling down a twisting track at about 100km/h. Screams fill the air, and you’re not sure you’ll live to savour the memories ... If that sounds like fun to you, then Ratanga Junction’s the place you need to be!

Cape Town’s fun and entertainment hub, Ratanga Junction is located in Century City, a 15-minute drive along the N1 highway from Cape Town.

Rides for everyone
Ratanga Junction offers visitors more than 30 attractions, including 23 rides that cater for small children and adventurous adults alike.

“Go big or go home” rides
The Cobra, Slingshot and Crocodile Gorge rides offer white-knuckle thrills. The Slingshot, for example, allows you to enjoy the exhilarating sensation of flight, while strapped into a body harness that is launched from a 10-storey height. The saying goes that absolute terror never felt so good!

Thrill rides
The Monkey Falls, Congo Queen, Diamond Devil Run, Bushwhacker, Stargazer and Bangers rides all dish up a more civilised, yet still thrilling experience that’s less likely to leave you in need of cardiac massage.

Little people
Those who prefer to enjoy more sedate activities with their young children are guaranteed just as much fun, with splatter ball, mini-golf and other activities available.

Food options
The Food Court can be found in the Walled City on Ratanga Island. Apart from at the Venom Bar and the Courtyard Café, all food is halaal.

For the health-conscious, It’s a Wrap serves chicken, beef and falafel wraps, as well as fresh salads.

Chicken Workz offers a variety of salads and hot food items, including tasty chicken burgers and other meals.

On a Roll serves burgers and hot chips.

You could also try Pizza Pronto’s bolognaise pizza slice, or their grilled chicken and margarita pizza with a tasty tomato concasse.

The perfect remedy for a hot day in the park is a visit to the Jive Café, where creamy soft-serve ice-creams come with a variety of toppings.

Off-island outlets and kiosks serve a variety of fast foods, as well as boerewors rolls and cold drinks.
