Factory shopping

Although Cape Town offers the tourist an overwhelming choice of some of South Africa’s finest shopping malls, it can make a pleasant change to visit some of the city’s factory shops, where bargains can often be found.
Kenilworth and Bellville are home to Access Park, a bargain-hunter’s Mecca comprising 70 outlet stores and 80 factory shops where you’ll find many items at half the cost of conventional outlets. You will find the Bellville branch at 1 Van Riebeeck Road, Kuilsriver, and the Kenilworth stores near the M5 on the corner of Chichester and Doncaster roads.
If you are looking for luggage and travel accessories, you could visit the Hippo Group Factory Shop in Bellville, which features a massive range of bags, suitcases, folders, wallets and more.
For cosmetic products, Indigo Cosmetics Factory Shop in Epping is very popular, stocking top international brands such as Yardley and Rimmel.
In terms of fashion factory stores, there is Radeen Fashions Factory Shop for ladies’ fashion and Cape Union Mart Factory Outlet for those who love the outdoors.
