The Playhouse Theatre
The 60-year-old Hottentots Holland Dramatic Society (HHDS) owns The Playhouse Theatre, on the corner of Lourensford and Swalle Roads in Somerset West.
Shows cost R45 per person and can be pre-booked.
Local schools, charities or businesses are encouraged to use a show at the theatres as a fundraising venture. The cost is R2 500 for the evening, including crockery, cutlery and furniture. During interval a cash bar operates and tea, coffee and sweets are on sale.
The Green Room and the Auditorium – seating 194 – are available for hire, as are costumes.
