Original T-bag Design Shop
Original T-Bag Designs was founded over ten years ago with the aim of creating sustainable jobs and giving a sense of self-worth to previously disadvantaged individuals, from Imizamo Yethu Township in Hout Bay.
By using recycled tea bags, Original T-Bag Designs has created an innovative range of greeting cards, artwork and a wonderful variety of high quality, handmade products flying the “Proudly South African” banner.
Situated in the historic Kronendal Business Park, visitors to Original T-Bag Designs have the opportunity to interact with the artists at work, have a cup of tea and browse in our visitor’s centre and shop.
Visitors on the Blue Route Mini Peninsula Tour, departing from the Waterfront, can take the opportunity to hop off the bus and meet the T-Bag team. If you cannot get out to Hout Bay then be sure to visit our retail outlet in the V & A Waterfront, Blueshed.
Our products are unique and as bestselling author John Mason said “What you need is an idea and be brave enough to live creatively” and that’s exactly what we have done!
