Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre
The Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre takes care of wild cats and runs a rehabiliation facility for animals. They're inviting you to take a rare and beautiful walk with a cheetah in the Tsitsikamma Forest along the Garden Route. This is an unforgettable experience and one that should not be missed.
At Tenikwa knowledgeable guides take you on a tour to see African wildcats, caracals, serval, leopards and cheetahs. Our cats are bred in captivity and live in a semi-natural environment. Other animals you will see include meerkats, blue cranes and marabou storks.
We also rehabilitate penguins and visitors can observe – through one-way glass – these cute birds splashing in a pool and sunning themselves. You should also spend time on the Meerkat Meander, enjoying the antics of a colonly of these fascinating creatures up close.
Enjoy being pampered at Mangwanani Spa at Zevenwacht Wine Estate along the famous Stellenbosch Wine Route.
