quadding cape town
Traversing the beautiful Cape countryside on a quad bike offers a unique perspective on local flora and fauna, with a little excitement thrown in for good measure. A number of Cape Town-based companies offer professional quad biking, so whether it’s a solo, family or corporate team-building activity you’re after, there’s bound to be an offering that suits you.
Nature Discovery quad-bike tours have been designed in conjunction with Cape Nature Conservation to provide visitors with an unusual and spectacular day outing in rarely visited areas.
The quad bikes are user-friendly, new, comfortable and safe for beginners, with fully automatic and semi-automatic gearboxes, quiet exhaust systems and low-impact tyres. Bikes include large 400cc, 300cc, 250cc and 150cc options, as well as fully automatic bikes for youngsters.
A qualified field guide leads the tour and provides interesting educational talks while ensuring the needs of the group are taken care of. The tours are unique and promise views of some of the rarest plants on Earth.
The trail tours, which are just an hour from Cape Town, run daily at 09h00 and 14h00, with cooler evening tours offered from 17h00. Two-hour trails, three-and-a-half hour trails and day-out trails (including a picnic lunch at a waterfall) are available. Discounts are available for groups of six or more. Overnight tour options are also available.
