Some of the best golfers in the world have teed off at this beautiful club, which offers immaculately manicured greens in the shadow of beautiful views of Table Mountain. The Mowbray Golf Club has hosted the South African Open seven times and champions such as Bobby Locke, Gary Player, Seve Ballesteros, Vijay Singh, Nick Faldo, Lee Trevino and Ernie Els have all played here.
There is an exciting and delightfully distracting bird life too, making the stroll around the course that much more enjoyable. As with all quality golf courses, the facilities both on and off the course are world-class.
The 19th hole and more
The amenities at the club include a family-friendly restaurant, two bars and lounges. These comfortable lounges look out on to the 18th hole, making them ideal spots to relax after a round. There is also a superb pro shop and there are wonderfully course-savvy and trained caddies. The club also has a driving range, chipping and putting greens and well-appointed cloakrooms.
