Blue Rock Cable Waterski
Blue Rock is situated on the beautiful slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, a stone’s throw away from Sir Lowry’s Pass, Somerset West and Gordon’s Bay.
Lake Blue Rock is the only lake in Cape Town with crystal clear water and a depth of 60 metre, which is ideal for commercial and scuba diving. In summer, the water temperature reaches up to 26°C.
The Cable (the over-head pulling system) is made for kneeboarding, waterskiing and wakeboarding but surfing on a door or barefoot skiing has been seen before too! You can either bring your own equipment or hire some out. The only requirement is that you are able to swim. It is also a popular destination for kite boarders on a windless day. For advanced riders, Blue Rock is one of the biggest obstacle parks in the world. For beginners, there are skilled instructors for assistance. Depending on the weather, night skiing is offered on a Friday evening from 7pm - 9pm. School outings are made possible with subsidised tariffs.
The Blue Rock Restaurant and Café has a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner accompanied by homemade desserts. Chef, Robert Sibitz, creates special dishes for elegant dining and promotes a healthy lifestyle, cooking seasonal dishes using fresh and local produce. Blue Rock is known for its crispy thin based Pizza à la Italia! Blue Rock also has a fully equipped conference centre which can seat up to 30 people as per cinema style.
The Badi (our beach area) is great for relaxing, tanning and socialising. For the children, there is shallow water, a children’s playground and a trampoline. Shaded areas, umbrellas and deck chairs are available for hire.
The other activities at Blue Rock are: volleyball, 6-7 metre high rock jumping point, 400 metre long fufi-slide as well as an enduro motocross track and a paintball field.
Please contact us for table reservations, venue hire, packages for families, birthday parties, company functions, conferences, weddings and school outings.
Picture this ... You’re strapped into your seat, hanging under the track of a looping roller coaster that’s hurtling down a twisting track at about 100km/h. Screams fill the air, and you’re not sure you’ll live to savour the memories ... If that sounds like fun to you, then Ratanga Junction’s the place you need to be!
Feel the kiss of the salty wind astraddle a classic car or motorcycle, while taking in the magnificence of Cape Town’s mountain and ocean scenery.
The varied topography of Cape Town, from its soaring mountains to long, flat beaches, forested slopes and challenging mountain passes, presents the keen cyclist with an array of routes to choose from.
It has long been a human dream to soar like a bird on lofty thermals – and paragliding comes pretty close. There couldn’t be a better place to experience the thrill of paragliding than high above the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton, and the Twelve Apostles.
Absolutely loved it!!! Perfect for that quick adrenalin fix, yet such a good stress reliever. Haven't had such fun in yonks! Pizza at the restaurant is one of the best that I've had. Staff was awesome and extremely helpful... Blue Rock will surely see me again and very SOON!
