The Kimberley hotel situated on the corner of Buitenkant and Roeland Street, on the border between the beautiful Gardens suburb and the CBD. This Cape Town landmark was built in 1895, and was the starting point for horse-drawn carriages leaving Cape Town for Kimberley.
The Hotel boasts a coffee shop, an Internet cafe with wireless connectivity, as well as the famous old Pub. From the hotel, guests can quench their thirst admiring Table Mountain, or take a two-minute walk to the District Six Museum. Being on the edge of the city, it is only a five-minute walk to Parliament and the Cape Castle, and a further 15-minute drive to the famous Table Mountain Cableway. The hotel offers 11 bedrooms and a sunset balcony. The Kimberley Bistro and coffee shop - great pastries cakes, coffees and pizzas. Barneys Pub, enjoy a beverage or meal at the same counter that the diamond prospectors sat at a 110 years ago.
This backpackers may be noisy to some due to the late night vibrant pub on the ground floor.
