Blaauwheim Guest House is a new exclusive establishment in Somerset West, run by co-owners Johan and Jo-Anne Blaauw. It consists of two luxurious suites, Pinotage and Chardonnay as well as a deluxe double bedroom called Shiraz. Each suite comprises a lounge/dining room/kitchenette, a spacious bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a guest toilet and veranda or balcony. Shiraz has an en suite full bathroom, its private garden and a barbecue facility. There is ample secure parking available within the premises. The lush, treed garden boasts indigenous yellowwood trees frequented by many birds and a substantial collection of cycads. Blaauwheim is in the heart of the famous Cape Winelands, near the long sandy beaches of the Strand and within easy reach of Hermanus, the whale watchers paradise. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a selection of golf courses on our doorstep. Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in the country, is a mere 10 minutes away and Franschhoek will take another 15 minutes along a beautiful scenic route. Cape Town, which is famous for Table Mountain, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, excellent shopping centres, sports facilities, theatres and entertainment, is only 40 min away. This vibrant metropolis with its kaleidoscope of culture is one of the top ten most visited cities in the world. The Airport is just 20 minutes away from Blaauwheim.
