The Cape Town FIFA Fan Fest will screen all 64 matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, free of charge to as many as 25 000 fans at once. This Heritage Fan Fest is situated on the Grand Parade in the heart of the Mother City.

This area is at the foot of Table Mountain, in front of the City Hall and next to the historic Castle of Good Hope (South Africa’s oldest building). This is where Nelson Mandela addressed his fellow South Africans as a free man in February 1990, after spending 27 years behind bars for his beliefs.

There is entertainment between matches, which will include shows from local artists and bands such as Freshly Ground (Saturday, July 3), Flash Republic and Prime Circle (both performing on Sunday, July 11), as well as performances from African Marimba bands, local DJs and new and emerging talent.

Other attractions include arts and crafts stalls, food and beverage refreshment stands in the Chill Zone, as well as activity zones, including five-a-side soccer pitches.

The FIFA Fan Fest is wheelchair friendly and there will be dedicated viewing areas for disabled guests. The area is closed once capacity is reached.

Hospitality packages are available from R225. For more information, please contact Geraldine on (021) 426 5775 or at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
